A new display of historical surveying materials is available at the Archives courtesy of the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society. These materials tell the history of government surveying in California.
All government surveys in California are based off of three meridian points atop three peaks: Mount Diablo in Contra Costa County, Mount San Bernardino in San Bernardino
